The duties of magistrates in such case.'* are regulated by the act of the Dominion of Canada, relating to persons charged with indictable otlences, and parties brought before magistrates charged with such otiences should be dealt with as provided hy said statutes, and should be discharged or com- mitted for trial, as may appear right alter an investigation into their lespective cases, as provided by saiii statute.
