Mw-Brunsmck, upon Friday the 7th of September,
1804, being the day appointed by Proclamation fov I
General FAST and HUMILIATION before Almighty
GOD, to be observed in the moft Devout and Solemn
Manner, by sending up our P.ayeftand Supplications
to the Divine Majesty :

For obt. ning Pardon of our Sins, and for averting thofe
heavy Judgments which our manifold Provocations
have moft juftly deferved ; and imploring His Bleffing
and Affiftance on the Arms of His Majesty by Sea P.nd
Land, and for reftoring and perpetuating Peace, Safety,
and Prosperity to Himself, and to His Kingdom.

1 The Service Jhall be the same with the usual Office for
Holy-Days, except where it is in this Office otherwise ap-
pointed.

H Let him that miniflereth read with a loud voice these Sen-
tences of Scripture ; and after them the Exhortation,
Dearly beloved Brethren, &:c.

TO the Lord our God belong mercies and forgive-
neflesj though we have rebelled againft him : neither
have we obeyed the voice of the Lord our God, to walk
in his laws, which he fet before us.

In my trouble I will call upon the Lord, and complain
unto my God. So fhall he hear my voice out of his holy
temple ; my complaint ftiall come before him.

UNTO Thee, O Lord, will I lift up my foul ; my God,
I have put my truft in Thee : O let me not be con-

ALMIGHTY God, who has difpof^d the heart of oup
President to unite us this day in Prayer and Sup-
plication for the pardon of our Sifts : Thou haft con\-
piandedusto love our Jlnemies, and to pray for them,
that perfecute us. Vouchfafe to accept now our Prayers,
for the Rejpentance ^nd Converfion of men, who have
caft off their Faith in Thee; and, following the vain
imaginations of reprobate Minds, have plunged themfelves
mto Crimes and Impieties, which aftonifli the Nations of
the Earth. Open their eyes, O Lord, that they may fee
