Jesus was once a child like me. He was good to everybody. Jesus was glad to work for everybody. . And He always did the will of God the Father. Jesus even gave up His life to help all the people. I want to be like Jesus. In the morning, I first pray: "My God, I offer Thee this day All that I think or do or say, Uniting it to what was done On earth by Jesus Christ, Thy Son.” When I am dressed WiSiiii * I put my room in order.r J ^ * i I am always ready to help older people. I know how kind Jesus was to the old and the sick. I I study hard in school because I know Jesus wants me to use my mind to know Him better. I share the good things that mother gave me with my school friends. I show God how much I love Him when I am good to others. I know Jesus always helped His Mother. Sometimes my mother asks me to pick up the groceries. I do not waste time on my way home because mother is waiting for them. i Now I may go because the sign says so. Before I cross the street, I look at the sign. It says: STOP. So I obey and wait. \ I know that Jesus was always obedient. I want to be like Jesus. When I play with my friends I do not quarrel with them. I let them use all my things, so we all have fun. I play with my little sister and brother because I know Jesus loved the little children too. When father wants me to help him, I do it on his first call. Then, at the table, I pray with my family before the meal. "Bless us, O Lord, and these Thy gifts, which we are about to receive from Thy bounty, through Christ our Lord. Amen.” I After the meal, I thank God with my family. "We give Thee thanks for all Thy benefits, O Almighty God, who livest and reignest forever. Amen. May the souls of the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen. , en I go to church, r water •• the Sign of the Cross. ^ gj 'k <’i I Sometimes father takes me with him to Mass. I am always very good in church, even when I am not with my father. I know that the church is God’s house. I pay attention and do not look around. I always use my missal at Mass. 1 Before I go to bed, I ask Jesus again to help me always to be good. Then I say the Our Father. This is the prayer that Jesus Himself taught when He was on earth. "Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name; Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.” Jesus did the will of His Father want to do His will, too. want to be like Jesus.
