Answer. John 4.24 God is a Spirit, and they that worship him must worship him in spirit, and in truth. Quest. What is the Church of God? Answ. Eph. 1.10 The whole company of God's Elect, in all places and ages knit by true Faith unto Christ their head. Quest. What do you believe concerning God and his Church? Answ. I believe in God the Father Almighty, maker of Heaven and Earth, and in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord, which was conceived by the Holy Ghost, borne of the Virgin Mary, etc. I believe in the Holy-Ghost, the Holy Catholic Church, etc. Quest. What is Faith? Answ. Ro. 1.17. An apprehension and applicacation of Christ and all his Merits, as they are promised and offered in the word and Sacraments. Quest. What is a Sacrament? Answ. Rom. 4.11. A Seal of the Covenant of Grace. Quest. What is the Covenant of Grace? Answ. Joh. 3.16. An agreement concerning men to be freely saved through faith in Christ Jesus. Quest. It is a Sacrament of the eternal Covenant, joh. 6.54. whereby the souls of them that are engrafted into Christ, are spiritually nourished unto eternal life. Who is the Author of this Sacrament?
