We found that the publication "Pain Management During the COVID-19 Pandemic in China: Lessons Learned" very interesting. Song et al. [1] discussed several aspects of management for COVID-19-related pain. Reallocation of staff and facilities to correspond to the outbreak is necessary [2] . The aims of preparedness are effective and safe health care and protection of practitioners from infection. Pain management remains necessary for severely ill COVID-19 patients who require intensive supportive care, but pain management might not be necessary for patients who have mild pain. In our setting in Indochina, pain clinic appointments are usually postponed. Medications and other recommendations are sent by post, as telemedicine is usually limited. For patients with end-stage disease such as advanced cancer, practitioners must decide whether the patient can postpone pain management and directly deliver care when medically indicated.
