COVID-19 rapidly spread around the world, posing enormous health, economic, environmental, and social challenges to the entire human population. Almost all countries are struggling to slow down the transmission of the disease by testing, quarantining suspected cases, contact tracing, restricting large gatherings, and maintaining complete or partial lockdowns (Chakraborty & Maity, 2020) . This disease has brought down societies to ancient and primary prevention strategies such as wearing masks, hand washing, social distancing, and quarantining and has actually changed the lifestyle of many people around the world (Jefferson et al., 2020) . Meanwhile, many people hope that with the commencement of vaccination against COVID-19, they can get back to their normal life. COVID-19 is no longer a problem of developed or developing countries, but a common health threat for people all over the world (Liang, 2020) , and countries have to work together to defeat this threat (Buheji & Ahmed, 2020) . The rapid development, distribution, and administration of the vaccine to the global population are likely to be the most effective approach to quell this pandemic (Shin et al., 2020) . However, there are challenges including sufficient manufacture and distribution of the vaccine, and cold chain requirements that present logistical and fiscal barriers to the availability of this vaccine in resource-poor areas of the world (Shin et al., 2020) . vaccine developers, regulators, policymakers, funders, public health bodies, and government officials will be needed to ensure that vaccines can be manufactured in sufficient quantities and equitably supplied to all affected areas, particularly low-resource regions. The Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations (CEPI) has recently issued a call for funding to support global COVID-19 vaccine development efforts so that vaccines can be manufactured and distributed fairly in a timely manner (Thanh Le et al., 2020) . In this regard, it is necessary to take uniform action throughout the world and distribute the vaccine fairly, under the supervision of the World Health Organization. In addition to humanitarian reasons, the possibility of the virus mutating and transmitting from nonvaccinated countries or regions to other parts of the world, justifies the fair distribution of this vaccine globally. Meanwhile, within countries, high-risk and vulnerable groups, and globally, countries with high mortality and risk of transmission to other countries should be prioritized.
