Of note, he took prednisone 5 mg daily for adrenal 58 insufficiency, but his community dermatologist increased this to 20 mg daily for a suspected stasis 59 dermatitis flare when this eruption was mostly on his lower extremities. 60 Physical exam revealed a generalized distribution (50% body surface area) of erythematous 61 plaques, studded with numerous small, non-follicular pustules (Figure 1 ). The rash spared the face, 62 genitals, and mucosae. There was significant acral swelling, but no palpable lymphadenopathy. 63 Labs at presentation (t+13) were notable for an elevated white blood cell count composed of 64 absolute neutrophilia and an elevated eosinophil count (Table 1) (Figure 1) , markedly reduced density, and decreased 106 intensity, of erythematous plaques on the torso and extremities (A&B). Improving lower extremity 107 edema is also seen (B) but not pictured in Figure 1 . 108 Table 1 : Results of main diagnostic workup during admission. Generally benign with exception of 109 neutrophilia and eosinophil count that later increased by a factor of three (not shown).
