We should pay attention to personal hygiene during home isolation and further explore the possibility of fecal-oral transmission." In fact, the virus might exist in feces. 2 The patient might swallow respiratory secretion and the virus might directly infect gastrointestinal tract. Nevertheless, further transmission might or might not occur. It is still unknown whether the pathogen can resist to physiological defense in gastrointestinal tract and gastric acid or not.
