A transbronchial lung biopsy of the right B2 segment revealed loose intra-alveolar organizing fibrosis and mild interstitial inflammation (Picture 2A, Hematoxylin and Eosin staining, 400×) with immature fibrosis (Picture 2B, Elastica-Masson stain, 400×), suggesting cryptogenic organizing pneumonia (COP). COVID-19 pneumonia and COP have similar radiological features, such as peribronchovascular or subpleural GGO, and consolidation with lower lung predominance; however, the migration of opacities suggests the COP. Physicians should be aware of the typical radiological patterns of COVID-19 pneumonia and its mimicking disorders (1, 2). The authors state that they have no Conflict of Interest (COI).
