Research & Technology, Surgical Pearls, and Posters. The open access nature of these abstracts, coupled with the user-friendly sections will allow the abstracts and posters to extend beyond the last digital session of vPSTM, and truly impact the future of our field.

These abstracts and posters represent the efforts of hundreds of plastic surgeons, researchers, residents, and teammembers from across the United States-from California, to Colorado, to North Carolina-and from around the world, including Australia, Brazil, Canada, Israel, and South Korea! They are a glimpse into the future of plastic surgery; what you're reading today could be a road map for future studies, papers, and practice-changing outcomes. This output has the potential to impact the field of plastic surgery for years to come. So, read them, discuss them, take to social media and post a short video of you discussing your favorite entries as part of the #PRSGlobalOpenUp challenge, or use "#PSTM20," "#PRSGlobalOpen," and "#PlasticSurgery" to join the plastic surgery community at large in the social media discussion. Tag PRS Global Open (Instagram: @ PRSGlobalOpen; Twitter: @PRSJournal) and the ASPS (Twitter: @ASPSMembers; Instagram: @PlasticSurgeryASPS) to join the global plastic surgery movement in improving plastic surgery patient safety, outcomes, and care one open access article, abstract, and poster at a time.

We will again be adding "Best Abstract" indicators ( Fig. 3 ) on certain abstracts-based on your input from the annual meeting of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. The abstracts that are chosen during the Annual Meeting by each session's moderators and raters will be labeled online to help you readily note these selected writings. That said, I encourage you to read every abstract that interests you.

The abstracts in this supplement are peer reviewed. These abstracts have been peer reviewed by the Annual Meeting Educational Program Committee of the ASPS' Annual Meeting Council. For Virtual PSTM 20, there were 2 tiers of abstract acceptance. Tier 1 acceptances were reserved for abstracts rated among the Top 200, based on committee review. Tier 1 and Tier 2 abstracts will be scheduled for a 5-minute On-Demand presentation during Virtual Plastic Surgery The Meeting. The Top 100 abstracts will also be scheduled for a scheduled 5-minute presentation with live Q&A during Virtual Plastic Surgery The Meeting. Only Tier 1 abstracts are published in this PRS Global Open abstract supplement. Tier 2 abstracts will be published on the ASPS website after the meeting. There was no differentiation between abstract presentations during the meeting.

To the authors of all of the abstracts and posters from PSTM, you have already done the hard work: you developed the study, made your plan a reality, gathered the data, and have studied the results to make the first conclusions. I encourage you to take the next step! Write and submit a full paper based on your abstract. With this publication, I invite all abstract authors to submit these works to Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery-Global Open or Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery through Editorial Manager. We are so pleased that authorship, readership, citations, and engagement for this global journal have continued to exceed our expectations, and we thank you for your role in that! As I reflect on the upheaval of 2020 caused by Covid-19 and other world events, I embrace the fact that this year was already going to be one of great change for PRS Global Open, as it is my last year to serve as its Editor-in-Chief. It started over 8 years ago as a vision and dream to build the first-in-North-America and best-in-class worldwide open access peer-reviewed plastic surgery journal. PRS Global Open has truly exceeded all our expectations from its growth and expansion into all aspects of global health and plastic surgery. I am so appreciative of my amazing PRS Journals family, especially my Editorial staff: Aaron Weinstein, I. Donnell Moore, Angela Burch, Ed Tynan, Christina Carson, Darienne Dickey, and Maddy Aguilar. When we launched the journal in 2013, I had high hopes and pragmatic optimism about what our journal could grow into. I let you know now, in the middle of a year of major change, that I am overjoyed by what PRS Global Open has grown into. The way you, our readers and authors, have embraced the open access model to provide an important and unfilled role in the global plastic surgery community has left me speechless. The way that our resolute editorial and publishing teams, dedicated Editorial Board members, and impressive Resident Ambassadors have taken the journal to new heights with the highest quality initiatives, engaging multi-media, and-most importantly-peerreviewed content has exceeded my every expectation. I cannot wait to see what the future brings, and I'm excited to continue to serve in the growth of PRS Global Open as a reviewer and an author. Perhaps next year I may even have an abstract or two to proudly present as part of the PSTM 21 Abstract Supplement. The future of plastic surgery, and PRS Global Open, is bright!
