All practicing physicians and other healthcare professionals. Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to: 1. Review the impact on the health and wellbeing of older adults who delay care or receive only telehealth care during the pandemic. 2. Explain the meta-skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent care to older adults including an approach to prescribing and de-prescribing, identifying and discussing goals of care, and assessing safety and independence. 3. Discuss the challenges encountered by older adults during the coronavirus pandemic such as accessing digital healthcare, isolation and loneliness, and increased risks associated with SARS-COV2 virus. The Elsevier Office of Continuing Medical Education (EOCME) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The EOCME designates this journal-based CME activity for a maximum of 12 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)Ô.
