Everything in its Place: The Life and Works of Virgilio Piñerais the title of a new book by Thomas F. Anderson, associate professor of Romance languages and literatures at the University of Notre Dame.
The most comprehensive study to date of Piñera,Everything in its Placeis the first book to be written in English on this major 20th-century Cuban novelist, poet and dramatist. Drawing extensively on unpublished manuscripts, Anderson offers nuanced interpretations of Piñeras life in Cuba, bringing new insights into the literary, political and cultural influences of Piñeras works. It was published by Bucknell University Press.
Anderson specializes in 20th-century Latin American fiction and in the literature of the Hispanic Caribbean.He is a faculty fellow in Notre Dames Kellogg Institute for International Studies and is coordinator of the Universitys Program in Iberian and Latin American Studies.
