William W. George, former chairman and chief executive officer of Medtronic, Inc., will receive the Hesburgh Award for Ethics in Business on March 19 (Wednesday) from the University of Notre Dame’s Center for Ethics and Religious Values in Business and Institute for Ethical Business Worldwide.p. Named in honor of Rev. Theodore M. Hesburgh, C.S.C., the award will be presented by Notre Dame’s president emeritus at 4 p.m. in the Jordan Auditorium of the Mendoza College of Business. The ceremony, which is free and open to the public, will include talks by George and Kenneth Goodpaster, the David and Barbara Koch Endowed Chair in Business Ethics at the University of St. Thomas, as part of the business college’s Frank Cahill Lecture Series.p.
