Alan Dowty, professor of political science and fellow in the Kroc Institute of International Peace Studies at the University of Notre Dame, will deliver a Saturday Scholar Series lecture titled “The Israeli-Palestinian Conflict” at 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 2) in the auditorium of the Hesburgh Center for International Studies.p. Dowty specializes in international relations, the Arab-Israeli conflict and Israeli politics. He has published six books, including “The Limits of American Isolation,” “Middle East Crisis: U.S. Decision Making in 1958, 1970, and 1973,” and “The Jewish State: A Century Later.” He is working on a book that examines the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.p.
