With this issue we bid farewell to long-time editorial board member Buffy Choinski as she retires from both the University of Mississippi and Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship.
Buffy joined the ISTL editorial board in 1996 when the publication was making the transition from e-mail newsletter to web-based journal.
In 2000 Buffy was instrumental in establishing the refereed articles section of ISTL. She developed policies and procedures for the section and recruited a panel of referees. In the years since, she has kept articles flowing through the process, working with both authors and referees to publish quality articles dealing with science and technology librarianship.
Buffy is passing along the reins to David Flaxbart who will continue to work with and develop the refereed articles section of the journal.
The editorial board thanks Buffy Choinski for her many contributions to Issues in Science and Technology Librarianship. We offer our best wishes as she begins this next phase of life.
