The National Center for Education Statistics reported that, in fall 2012, there were 26,606 librarians at 3,172 responding U.S. academic libraries (out of 3,793 U.S. academic libraries surveyed).26 These data indicate that less than 10 percent of USALs published a peer-reviewed journal article in one of the major LIS journals studied during a five-year period.	cache/crl-16640.pdf	txt/crl-16640.txt
