The Trending Academic Library Job Market: An Analysis of Library Position Announcements from 2011 with Comparisons to 1996 and 1988	2015-09-01	24	.pdf	application/pdf	11944	452	40	The percent of technical services positions with administrative duties has declined precipitously over time, from 46.0 percent in the 1988 study to 34.7 percent in the 1996 study to 26.9 percent in 2011.65 This is compared to public services positions with administrative duties, which had a high of 34 percent in 1988, a low of 20.2 percent in 1996, and 26.0 percent in 2011.66 Electronic services positions with administrative duties increased from 14.5 percent in 1996 to 23.4 percent in 2011.67 Education Requirements Degree requirements were found in 909 (95.0%) of the 957 position advertisements in 2011.
