Resolved by the Parliament , THat it be referred to a Committee to consider how and by what means the Poor may be set on work throughout the Nation , and such poor as are not able to work may be relieved , to prevent common Begging , and to Report their Opinion therein to the House . Resolved by the Parliament , That it be referred to the same Committee to revise all the Laws touching the Relief of the poor and setting them on work , and to consider by what means or default the same are become ineffectual , or are not put in Execution , and Report the same , with their Opinion what means are fit for the redress thereof to the House .
