Forasmuch as it hath pleased Almighty GOD , to remove that Force and Armed Violence , by which the Administration of Our Royall Government among Our People there , was interrupted ; And We being desirous to witnesse Our Affection to , and care of , that Our Ancient Kingdom ( of whose Loyalty We have had many Testimonies ) have Resolved , that until a Meeting of Parliament ( which We are presently to Call ) the Government shall be Administrate by Vs , and the Committee of Estates , nominate by Vs and Our Parliament , in the Year , 1651. And therefore do hereby Call and Authorize the said Committee , to meet at Edinburgh upon the Twenty third day of August instant : And We do hereby require Our Heralds , Pursevants , and Messengers at Arms , To make Publication hereof at the Mercat-Cross of Edinburgh , that Our Royal Resolution may be known to all Our good Subjects there .
