(9) This study was carried out in order to ascertain the degree of vaccine hesitancy in Maltese healthcare workers vis-à-vis a putative novel COVID-19 vaccine later this year, and correlate this with influenza vaccination uptake. The increased proportion of Maltese healthcare workers who plan to take the influenza vaccine this year when compared to last winter is probably due to increased awareness of respiratory viral illnesses in general in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. The proportions of those who are likely/undecided/unlikely (half, quarter, quarter respectively) to take a COVID-19 are similar to rates reported in other countries.(10) The higher male inclination to take the vaccine may be due to a combination of factors which could include the innate male propensity for perceived risk taking in the face of a novel vaccine.	./cache/cord-325141-x3txhjkr.txt	./txt/cord-325141-x3txhjkr.txt
