The proposed Smart Contact Tracing (SCT) system utilizes the smartphones Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) signals and machine learning classifier to accurately and quickly determined the contact profile. • Privacy-preserving signature protocol: our SCT system provides a secure contact tracing by using the nonconnectable advertising channels and an encrypted packet containing unique signature information based on the ambient environmental features observed by a smartphone. To bridge the gap, this paper studies the proximity sensing with the BLE signals broadcast from the smartphones carried by the user while designing a privacypreserving signature protocol that uses the environmental feature instead of user information for packet broadcasting.
