In this section, we present a discussion of the various aspects of UAV operation such as the modes, flow of control, systems for navigation, and also review some of the most common commercial transmission protocols. A ground station is the control center that facilitates the human control of UAVs. An autonomous UAV has a predefined flight route based on GNSS systems like GPS or environment checkpoints which can be detected by the camera.
