Drawing from firsthand experience as nurse educators leading clinical courses in a post-licensure nursing program, we consider some of the early lessons as we face this health crisis. On March 15, 2020, our academic nursing program made the difficult decision to remove students from clinical practicums. While the majority of J o u r n a l P r e -p r o o f learning is conducted online, students in this program must complete in-person clinical placements to fulfill the Bachelor of Nursing degree requirements.
