One study, based on data from a registry including 280 stroke centers throughout China, reported a 40% drop in stroke admissions during the pandemic surge. Unfortunately, although this registry includes a large network of certified stroke hospitals, the possibility that some missing patients with stroke were evaluated outside of these selected centers cannot be excluded.
