The immunoblot showed a 32-kDa band, indicating that protein C expressed in a baculovirus system is antigenic for antibody detection of SARS-CoV infection (represented by Fig. 1a) . Fig. 2 shows representative IFA results in the detection of positive serum samples using our Spike protein-based IFA, compared to the conventional IFA performed by SGH and the commercial SARS IFA kit (EUROIMMUN).
