Firstly, we analyzed the possible sites of infection in hospitalized patients with COVID-19 by detecting viral RNA with 12 different types of specimens, including nasopharyngeal swab, oropharyngeal swab, sputum, bronchoalveolar lavage fluid (BALF), stool, anal swab, urine, peritoneal dialysis fluid (PDF), blood, sweat, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and corneal secretion.
