cord-269343-qwgmn06t	Livingston, Gill	Dementia prevention, intervention, and care: 2020 report of the Lancet Commission	2020-07-30		.txt	text/plain	23165	1132	45	Overall, a growing body of evidence supports the nine potentially modifiable risk factors for dementia modelled by the 2017 Lancet Commission on dementia prevention, intervention, and care: less education, hypertension, hearing impairment, smoking, obesity, depression, physical inactivity, diabetes, and low social contact. 90 An individual-level meta-analysis of 19 observational studies of relatively younger adults included 404 840 participants' data (mean baseline age 45·5 years; mean follow-up duration 14·9 years), reporting an increased incidence of all-cause dementia (HR 1·4, 95% CI 1·2-1·7) and clinically diagnosed Alzheimer's disease (1·4, 1·1-1·7) in those who were physically inactive in the 10-year period before diagnosis.
