Laboratory data on admission showed a WBC count of 8,800/mm 3 with infectious symptoms, or a history suggestive of drug-induced lung diseases but did have fine crackles and diffuse, bilateral patchy ground-glass opacities in her chest, 1 we initially suspected acute interstitial pneumonia and administered prednisolone (50 mg/d), which is often used in the treatment of acute interstitial pneumonia.
