On admission, a nasopharyngeal and throat swabs for SARS-CoV-2 reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) revealed a positive result, other laboratory findings included white blood cell count (WBC) 2480 cells/mm 3 , lymphocyte (L) 18%, neutrophil (N) 78%, and C-reactive protein (CRP) 62.7 mg/L. Although acute hypoxemic respiratory failure from COVID-19 in elderly and KT recipients in our cohort seemed to be prominent, early investigation in high-risk populations, prompt initiation of potential therapy, and intensive supportive care are important to prevent adverse consequences and mortality.
