To ensure the whole process of the COVID-19 diagnostic testing took place without a problem, we simultaneously added primers and a probe of human RNase P gene (RP gene) as an internal control in the same well with the RdRp gene assay according to the protocol from the U.S. CDC [6] (Figure 3 ).
