In the following sections, we present two representative confirmed severe COVID-19 cases according to WHO interim guidance [1] who have received corticosteroid treatment during their hospitalization. Clark Russell and his colleagues [4] summarized the available clinical evidence on corticosteroid therapy in severe COVID-19 [5] , Middle East respiratory syndrome (MERS) [6] and influenza [7] against corticosteroid use in 2019 novel coronavirus pneumonia, except in the setting of a clinical trial.
