Here we assess the effect of treatment with marmoset-derived hyperimmune plasma as well as the human mAb m336 on disease outcome in the recently developed marmoset MERS-CoV infection model, which recapitulates severe respiratory disease (Falzarano et al., 2014) . Viral loads in lung tissues from hyperimmune plasma-treated compared to control animals were found to be significantly lower using a onetailed unpaired Student's t-test (average of 4.0 Â 10 4 and 1.2 Â 10 6 TCID 50 equivalent/gram, respectively, p-value ¼ 0.008).
