We aimed to examine whether patients with rheuma tological conditions receiving chronic hydroxy chloroquine therapy are at less risk of developing SARS-CoV-2 infection compared with a propensity-matched group of patients not receiving hydroxychloroquine. Our study takes advantage of a setting in which a specific group of patients has been receiving chronic hydroxy chloroquine over several months to years as a novel virus emerges among the population, setting up an ideal premise to test the hypothesis that hydroxychloroquine might be effective in preventing SARS-CoV-2 infection. ./cache/cord-257399-p6of5fno.txt ./txt/cord-257399-p6of5fno.txt
