The mortality rate in Wuhan and Seattle were much higher (61% and 50%, respectively) compared with the other reported ICU cohorts ranging from 26% to 33% (Table 1 and Figure 1 ). The mortality rate among mechanically ventilated patients was much higher in the Wuhan study (81%) than in the other case series (34% to 36%) ( Table 1) .
