The identified limitations of the human, material and organizational resources of the Portuguese National Health Service (Serviço Nacional de Saúde) 12 and the alarming expectation of an eventual National Health Service over-running by a significant number of infected people, implied the suspension of all elective and non-urgent health activity, namely in the primary care level, scheduled hospital interventions and community care, 11 which adds to the decrease of the urgent and emergent activity care due to the fear of contagion felt by the patients. Providing primary eye care from the perspective of proximity and community would minimize the patient travel and waiting time to access the National Health Service, making it safer, more effective, and more efficient.	./cache/cord-318452-t3aqcvu0.txt	./txt/cord-318452-t3aqcvu0.txt
