Blotting assays via specific antibodies confirmed the expression of the 15 kDa HCVcp. The expression level of HCVcp was enhanced by 4-5 times in P19 co-agroinfiltrated plants with better outcomes for PVX, compared to pBI121 vector (0.022% versus 0.019% of the total soluble protein). In this study, we aimed to: i) Construct an efficient transient tobacco expression system for HCVcp N-121 by designing a highly codon-optimized gene and employment of the Iranian Jafarabadi-tobacco plant cultivar which is a high biomass producer ii) Evaluate the expression level of HCVcp for a potato virus X-based vector (PVX) (32) com-pared to a classic pBI121 binary plant vector in co-agroinfiltration with P19 gene silencing suppressor plasmid and iii) Assess the antigenicity of this tobacco-derived HCVcp for potential clinical (diagnostic and vaccine formulation) applications. ./cache/cord-264936-3posyr5n.txt ./txt/cord-264936-3posyr5n.txt
