Alisporivir treatment of HepG2215 cells resulted in a progressive reduction of secreted and intracellular, nucleocapsid-associated HBV DNA dependent on both drug concentration and time of drug exposure ( Figure 1A and B). NIM811 treatment of HepG2215 and of HepaRG cells also reduced the secreted and intracellular nucleocapsidassociated HBV DNA, however, its antiviral effect was lower than alisporivir (Supplementary Figure 3) .
