Regarding the frequency of hand hygiene, the RKI refers to the Federal Center for Health Education (www.infektionsschutz.de), which recommends, without substantiating evidence, washing hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds in the following circumstances to prevent COVID-19 infection: Specific recommendations for skin care products for use after washing/disinfection are not possible due to a lack of relevant study-based evidence; more research is needed here. 5.
