In terms of epidemiological characters and clinical symptoms, no significant differences were observed between the family cluster and sporadic cases. In this study, we aimed to investigate the epidemiological and clinical characteristics of these three family clusters of COVID-19 cases by comparing them with sporadic cases, which would provide insights for epidemic control in the context of the current serious situation worldwide. This study revealed that sporadic cases had lower levels of albumin and lymphocyte counts than family cluster cases; otherwise, there were no significant differences in terms of other epidemiological characters and clinical features between the two groups.
