The foundation provided by Yilmazer and Schrank (2010) was important in the development of a research study by McDonald and Marshall (2018) , which used Sustainable Family Business Theory (SFBT) and Intergeneration Family Business Survey data. Based on suggestions by Yilmazer and Schrank (2010) , household and business economic research in the JFEI explored the importance of cash flow, profitability, and savings in supporting family business well-being, satisfaction, success, and survival.
