Therefore, the effect of SARS-CoV-2 infection on maternal and infant outcomes needs to be explored, especially the intrauterine vertical transmission potential of COVID-19. SARS-CoV infection during pregnancy was associated with a risk of adverse maternal and neonatal complications, including intrauterine growth restriction, preterm delivery, spontaneous miscarriage, severe maternal illnesses, such as, admission to the intensive care unit (ICU), renal failure, and disseminated intravascular coagulopathy, and death (4, 6, 13, (42) (43) (44) (45) (46) .
