CASE REPORT: 31-year-old Hispanic woman in the final week of pregnancy developed mild respiratory symptoms of COVID-19 pneumonia and tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 infection. In response to the potential risks to both the mother and fetus, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the Centers for Disease Control have developed guidelines which provide a framework for detecting infections early and preventing potential transmission of SARS-CoV-2.
