The rapid spread of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has led to a pandemic of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) across the globe. The novel SARS-CoV-2 virus spreads rapidly, with 2-3 people infected from every index case, a reproduction number (R 0 ) or transmission rate of 2.24 -3.58 (2) . The aim of this review is to summarize what is currently known about the impact of prior coronaviruses and the novel SARS-CoV-2 infection on reproduction and pregnancy.
