Results showed that serviceberry fruits could be a good source of phenolic constituents and deserved special attention focused on studying their phytochemical profile: the main phenolic groups were catechins (343.46 ± 29.46 mg/100 gFW) > anthocyanins (220.66 ± 17.43 mg/100 gFW) > tannins (209.29 ± 7.81 mg/ 100 gFW) > cinnamic acids (113.52 ± 6.26 mg/100 gFW) > flavonols (62.56 ± 2.86 mg/100 gFW) > benzoic acids (12.70 ± 1.80 mg/ 100 gFW).The phenolic compounds detected in the present work were similar to those reported in other studies on different serviceberry genotypes (Bakowska-Barczak & Kolodziejczyk, 2008; Ozga et al., 2007) .
