Data were collected between January 2008 and December 2015 on a nationwide Swedish cohort of 2700 patients, aged 18 years and over, with community-acquired severe sepsis and septic shock admitted to the Intensive Care Unit within 24 hours of arrival to any of 32 emergency departments throughout the country. ACE inhibitors/ ARB use was common among patients admitted to the Intensive Care Unit because of sepsis. ACE inhibitors/ARB use and associated mortality among critically ill COVID-19 patients can be compared with this data. Hypothesis: angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors and angiotensin receptor blockers may increase the risk of severe COVID-19 ./cache/cord-353707-3n2nji8l.txt ./txt/cord-353707-3n2nji8l.txt
