CONCLUSION: Taken together, our data demonstrated for the first time that PEDV infection of its target cell line, IECs, inhibited dsRNA-mediated IFN-β production by blocking the activation of IPS-1 in RIG-I-mediated pathway. PEDV failed to induce IFN-β expression and inhibited poly (I:C)-mediated IFN-β production in IECs Type I IFNs (IFN-α/β) are critical to the host antiviral innate immune response. In summary, the findings of the present study suggested that PEDV-infection in IECs inhibits dsRNA-induced IFN-β induction by interfering with IRF-3 activity associated with RIG-I-mediated signaling pathway. ./cache/cord-305315-0qt7eth0.txt ./txt/cord-305315-0qt7eth0.txt
