According to the "diagnosis and treatment guideline on hand-foot-and-mouth disease (2010)", patients younger than 60 months with severe symptoms including meningitis, pulmonary edema, and mild cases without any nervous system lesions or pulmonary edema were included in this study. The concentrations of Ang II and NA in serum of the HFMD patients with mild or severe symptoms were significantly higher than that in healthy controls (P<0.001). The concentrations of Ang II and NA in serum of the HFMD patients with mild or severe symptoms were significantly higher than that in healthy controls (P<0.001).
