Most of these studies have reported that over the first three months, antibodies targeting spike decline several fold from a peak reached a few weeks post symptom onset [5, 7, 19] , suggesting that the early dynamics of the antibody response to SARS-CoV-2 are similar to those for other acute viral infections.
