From October 2014 (week 40/2014) to May 2017 (week 20/2017), upper (nasopharyngeal aspirates or swabs) and lower (bronchoalveolar lavages, bronchoaspirates and tracheal aspirates) respiratory tract specimens were collected for respiratory viruses' laboratory-confirmation from paediatric patients (< 17 years old) with suspicion of acute respiratory tract infection (RTI) or enterovirus infection who were [29] [30] [31] [32] [33] [34] [35] attended at the emergency department or admitted to the hospital.
