We also have promising experience with the "Kigali modification of the Berlin definition for acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS)" in the early detection and management of COVID-19 patients. In Thailand, awaiting definitive results of randomized clinical trials, critically ill COVID-19 patients receive combination therapies with at least three different mechanisms of action, including favipiravir for 10 days, depending on clinical symptoms.
